Attaching a frag underwater means gravity and current are working against you the whole time a standard cyanoacrylate glue is still curing - BSI's gel formula and cure accelerator are built to solve exactly that.
A Gel That Stays Put
IC-Gel is a gel-formula ethyl cyanoacrylate (CA) glue for attaching coral frags to plugs and rock. The gel consistency stays put on vertical or overhanging surfaces rather than running, which matters underwater where a runny glue simply drips away before it can bond.
Curing Faster Underwater
Insta-Set is an accelerator that speeds up the cure time of any cyanoacrylate (CA) glue, useful when fragging corals underwater, where a faster set means less time holding a frag in place and less risk of it drifting before the bond sets.
Using Them Together
- Apply IC-Gel to the frag or mounting surface, then position the frag where you want it.
- Follow with Insta-Set to accelerate the cure, especially useful for larger or awkwardly-shaped frags that need to be held in place longer.
- Work with a damp (not dripping) surface - cyanoacrylate actually cures faster with a small amount of moisture present.
