An underpowered adapter can't drive an LED strip to its full rated output, and an oversized one is money spent on capacity you'll never use - Reef Brite offers six wattages so you can match power supply to strip length.
Choosing a Wattage
- 30W - sized for a single smaller Reef Brite LED strip, or a small strip run through a splitter with another low-draw accessory.
- 60W - sized for a mid-size Reef Brite LED strip, or two smaller strips run through a splitter.
- 90W - sized for a longer Reef Brite XHO strip, or multiple smaller strips run through a splitter.
- 120W - sized for a longer XHO strip or multiple strips run together through a splitter, where a smaller adapter would fall short.
- 250W - for larger setups running several Reef Brite strips together through splitters, where combined draw exceeds what a smaller adapter provides.
- 320W - Reef Brite's largest power adapter, for the biggest multi-strip installations where several XHO or Lumi Lite strips run together through splitters.
Sizing Tips
- Check your specific strip's rated wattage before choosing an adapter, especially when running multiple strips off one supply through a splitter.
- Leave some headroom rather than sizing exactly to your combined draw, particularly if you might add another strip later.
- Pair with the 1-2 Way or 1-3 Way Splitter when running multiple strips off a single adapter.
