Sicce's newest canister filter line ships pre-loaded with a full media stack, so setup means filling and priming rather than sourcing and layering media yourself. Mega Filtra spans three configurations, up to a WiFi-controllable flagship model, for tanks up to about 170 gallons and beyond.
Why a Pre-Loaded Canister
Building a canister's media stack from scratch means choosing and layering mechanical, biological, and chemical media in the right order. Mega Filtra removes that step, arriving with a complete, properly-sequenced media stack ready to go.
Choosing a Model
- Mega Filtra 650 — built for aquariums up to about 170 gallons (650L), pre-loaded with a full media stack.
- Mega Filtra 900 — steps up flow and media capacity from the 650, sized for larger tanks needing more filtration headroom.
- Mega Filtra 950 SDC — the flagship of the line, adding WiFi app control on top of the 900's flow and media capacity.
Setup Tips
- Prime according to the included instructions before first run, standard for any new canister filter.
- Choose the 950 SDC if you want app-based flow monitoring and control alongside the larger media capacity.
- Keep replacement media on hand for each stage — pre-filter, biofoam, lateral, wool, biological, and chemical.
