Bacto-Surge is an air-driven sponge filter offering both mechanical and biological filtration for freshwater or marine tanks. The highly porous polyether foam gives aerobic bacteria a large surface area to colonize, and the uplift tube/air diffuser combination keeps water moving through it without easily clogging. An air pump is required but not included.
