BioSphere Bio Pellets 1000ml

Reef Octopus BioSphere Bio Pellets are a solid carbon dosing media for marine aquariums, sized here in a 1000ml bag for smaller systems or as a top-off supply.

• Volume: 1000ml (1 liter)
• Material: 100% pure, biologically degradable polymer solid carbon source
• Media lifespan: approximately 8 months to 1 year until fully consumed
• Recommended top-off interval: every 3 months as volume depletes

Bio pellets feed carbon-limited denitrifying bacteria that colonize the pellet surface, pulling down nitrate and phosphate without the dosing precision (and overdose risk) of liquid carbon. Run them in a dedicated biopellet reactor with enough flow to keep the pellets gently tumbling — stagnant pellets stop working and can foul the water instead of cleaning it. Start with a conservative amount, then increase gradually while monitoring NO3, PO4, and livestock response over the first several weeks.

Compatible with: Reef Octopus BR70, BR110, and BR1000SS biopellet reactors (reactor sold separately).
