Boyd Enterprise Chemiclean

Chemiclean treats red, black, blue-green, and methane-producing (bubble) cyanobacteria in marine aquariums, oxidizing the trapped organic sludge that feeds it within about 48 hours. Safe for fish, corals, invertebrates, and nitrifying bacteria in both fresh and saltwater.

Directions

• Increase aeration with heavy air movement or a large air stone before dosing
• Turn off UV sterilizers and ozonizers; remove Chemi-pure or carbon during treatment
• Keep the protein skimmer running, but adjust or remove the collection cup if overflow becomes an issue
• Maintain normal water flow from pumps and powerheads
• Add 1 scoop of Chemiclean per 10 gallons
• Treatment typically completes within 48 hours; follow with a 20% water change
• Turn UV/ozone back on and replace any carbon or Chemi-pure removed earlier

Can be repeated as needed, and is safe to use monthly as part of regular maintenance.
