Potassium drives cell function throughout aquatic plants but isn't replenished by fish waste the way nitrogen and phosphorus are, so heavily planted tanks running lean on potassium often show weak stems or poor leaf structure even under good light and CO2. Dymax Potassium Plus is a high-concentration potassium supplement — roughly 50,000 mg/L — designed to close that gap with small, precise doses.

Because the concentration is high, dose carefully according to tank volume rather than by eye; overdosing potassium can throw off overall water hardness.

Best for: Planted tanks on a full-dosing regimen needing a dedicated potassium source alongside nitrogen and phosphorus.
