ELEMENTALS TRACE Cu - Copper 250ml

Fauna Marin ELEMENTALS TRACE Cu is a high-purity copper solution for correcting copper deficiencies in reef aquariums, intended for experienced reefers dosing to a confirmed lab result.

• Dose: 1ml per 100L (26 US gal) raises copper by approximately 1µg/L
• Maximum daily increase: 2µg copper/L per day
• Target range: 2-5µg/L; readings up to 10µg/L are generally tolerated since most copper in a healthy system is in non-bioavailable forms
• Format: 250ml bottle

Copper is essential to numerous enzyme systems in corals and invertebrates, but it's also one of Fauna Marin's "dynamic elements" — its toxicity threshold shifts depending on the balance of zinc, vanadium, nickel, and molybdenum alongside it. Above roughly 20µg/L, copper starts causing Acropora tissue to brighten/bleach and can be lethal to clams, mollusks, and shrimp. Most Fauna Marin supply systems (including the Balling Light Trace 2 solution) already carry enough copper for normal needs, so this bottle is meant for confirmed shortfalls, not routine dosing.

Includes: 1x 250ml bottle.

Compatible with: dose via the Fauna Marin DIY Doser adapter; only dose after a Fauna Marin ICP test confirms low copper, and monitor invertebrates closely given copper's narrow safety margin.
