Fauna Marin Power Phos 1.6kg

Fauna Marin Power Phos is a wet, pre-washed iron hydroxide granulate that removes phosphate and silicate from reef and freshwater aquariums.

• 1.6kg of ready-to-use ferric hydroxide adsorber media, no rinsing needed
• Starting dose: 100 ml per 300 L; step up to 150 ml, maximum 200 ml per 300 L
• Binds phosphate and silicate permanently, preventing re-release into the water
• Suitable for both saltwater and freshwater systems
• Use in a filter bag, media reactor, fluidized bed filter, or between filter wool layers

Persistent phosphate and silicate are the main drivers of nuisance algae and dull coral coloration. Because Power Phos's granules bind pollutants irreversibly instead of releasing them back over time, one reactor charge keeps nutrients suppressed until it's time to swap in fresh media — a faint reddish tint in the water right after adding it is normal and harmless.

Compatible with: standard phosphate reactors and fluidized bed filters. Test PO4 regularly and replace the media once phosphate levels start climbing again.
