IceCap K3 100 HOB Protein Skimmer

The IceCap K3 100 HOB Protein Skimmer mounts on the back of the tank for aquarists without sump space, powered by the DCAIR 1.0 pinwheel pump mounted externally to keep heat out of the display water. Its slim body keeps the footprint small behind the tank.

Mounting the pump outside the skimmer body rather than submerging it is the key design choice here — it cuts down on the heat a HOB skimmer's pump would otherwise add to the tank, and makes the pump easier to service without draining the skimmer.
