IceCap Acclimation Kit

The IceCap Acclimation Kit is a gravity drip-acclimation system that gradually equalizes water parameters for new fish, corals, and invertebrates before they go into your display or quarantine tank.

• Method: gravity drip acclimation via adjustable control valve
• Intake: submersible sponge-filtered pickup with curved tube for secure aquarium/sump mounting
• Starter: built-in siphon starter / flow-monitor bulb — no mouth-siphoning required
• Recommended drip rate: doubling or tripling the container's water volume over 30–60 minutes
• Use with: fish, corals, and other sensitive invertebrates

Rapid swings in temperature, salinity, and pH are one of the most common causes of new-arrival stress and loss. Dripping water in slowly over an hour rather than dumping the bag lets livestock adjust gradually, and the sponge-guarded intake keeps the line from clogging or pulling in an unsettled fish.

Includes: curved intake tube with sponge prefilter, drip line with control valve, and siphon starter bulb. Container to hold the acclimating livestock is not included.
