IceCap Dragon Root (Large - 48in-60in)

IceCap Dragon Root (also sold as Manzanita wood) is a twisted, gnarled natural wood piece used as a centerpiece hardscape for large freshwater aquariums, paludariums, and reptile terrariums. This is the Large size, running 48-60in.

• Size range: 48-60 inches
• Natural wood — hand-selected and inspected; no two pieces identical
• Twisted, contorted branch structure
• Sold by the piece

Why this matters: because each piece is cut from natural wood rather than molded, the exact branch pattern, knots, and hollows vary piece to piece — that irregularity is what gives Dragon Root its realistic, aged look and creates genuine hiding spots and cover for fish or reptiles, rather than the uniform look of a manufactured decoration. At this large size it's meant to anchor a big tank or paludarium as the main structural feature.

Includes: 1 natural Dragon Root wood piece (exact shape and branching vary by piece).

Compatible with: freshwater aquariums, paludariums, and reptile/amphibian terrariums. Soak for several days (boiling if needed) to waterlog the wood and remove excess tannins before adding to a tank.
