IceCap In-Sump 18w UV Sterilizer

The IceCap In-Sump 18w UV Sterilizer is the entry point to IceCap's UV lineup, built for saltwater, freshwater, and pond systems that want a chemical-free way to knock down free-floating parasites, algae spores, fungi, bacteria, and protozoa. Water passes through a chamber around the UV bulb, where UVC light disrupts the DNA of anything small enough to drift past.

UV output degrades well before the bulb visibly dims or stops lighting, so plan on replacing the bulb annually regardless of whether it still turns on — an old bulb can be running with little to no actual germicidal effect.
