Kalkwasser 2.75kg

Fauna Marin Kalkwasser 2.75kg is a bulk calcium hydroxide powder for dosing limewater (kalkwasser) in reef aquariums, raising calcium and alkalinity while buffering pH.

• 2.75kg (2750g) powder, mixes into roughly a 6000ml (6L) batch of limewater — the most economical size for larger systems or frequent dosing
• Active ingredient: calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)₂), a bioavailable calcium source for corals and invertebrates
• Also available in 500g (1000ml) and 1000g (2000ml) sizes
• Dosing: mix 1 tablespoon (7–10g) into 10 liters of RO/DI water, stir, and let settle in a sealed container for several hours before dosing the clear supernatant

Calcium reactors and CO2-based dosing both push pH down as a side effect; kalkwasser does the opposite, raising pH as it replaces the calcium and alkalinity consumed by calcification — a useful counterbalance for tanks running a skimmer or reactor that tend to trend acidic, especially SPS-dominant systems with high calcification demand.

Compatible with: kalkwasser reactors and dosing pumps for automated drip dosing.
