Live Rock

Live Rock is porous, reef-cultured rock colonized by beneficial bacteria, coralline algae, and other marine life - the biological and aesthetic foundation of a reef aquarium. It provides surface area for the nitrogen-cycling bacteria that keep ammonia and nitrite in check, along with natural texture and hiding spots for fish and inverts.

• Use: Aquascaping base and biological filtration.
• Note: May arrive with beneficial hitchhikers (coralline algae, pods, small worms) typical of live rock.
• Tip: Sold by the piece so you can hand-select pieces for shape and coverage - great for building reef structure without heavy curing time.

Available for local pickup - in-store only. Stop by our shop in Wheeling, IL to select your pieces in person. Backed by expert support from real reefers at Marine Concept Supply.
