Nemateleotris Decora - Purple Firefish Goby

The Purple Firefish Goby (Nemateleotris decora) is an elegant, peaceful fish with a purple-to-yellow gradient body and a tall, flag-like dorsal fin it flicks when alert. It hovers near a burrow in the rockwork, darting in when startled, and does best kept singly or as a mated pair.

• Adult size: Up to 4 in.
• Diet: Carnivore - meaty foods, zooplankton, and frozen/live foods; readily accepts flake once settled.
• Temperament: Peaceful with tankmates, but territorial with its own species unless paired.
• Reef compatibility: Reef safe. Keep the tank tightly covered - firefish are accomplished jumpers.
• Tank: 10 gallons and up, with rockwork and hiding spots to feel secure.
