The Reef Octopus VarioS CR140 5.5-Inch Calcium Reactor brings DC variable-speed pump control to the calcium reactor line, letting you fine-tune recirculation speed instead of running a single fixed rate. Reverse-flow circulation maximizes CO2/media contact time, and an Auto Fill Bubble Counter keeps CO2 recirculation consistent without manual topping off.

The variable-speed pump is the real upgrade over the fixed-speed Classic CR140 — you can slow circulation for gentler, more complete CO2 contact or speed it up to catch up alkalinity after a water change.
