Octopus Cleaner XP-1000

The Reef Octopus Octopus Cleaner XP-1000 is an automated neck cleaner (ANC) built for the SRO XP8000-series skimmers, using twin squeegees on a high-torque, low-RPM motor to keep the neck free of the buildup that restricts skimmate collection on these larger units.

• Fits: SRO XP8000-series skimmers
• Setup: plug into a timer or aquarium controller (not included), set to run a few minutes 4-6 times per day
• Result: eliminates manual neck-scrubbing for two or more weeks while maintaining fresh-cup skimmate output
• Important: not ozone safe

On a large-capacity skimmer like the XP8000, neck buildup accumulates quickly given the volume of foam moving through — automating cleaning keeps performance consistent between manual cup cleanings.
