PKO Phosphates KO 250g

Easy Reefs PKO Phosphates KO is a bentonite-based, ionically modified clay media that removes phosphate from freshwater and marine aquarium water, supplied here in a 250g container.

• Removes phosphate from aquarium water within 3 hours of application
• 1kg of PKO removes more than 30g of PO4 (manufacturer figures: 1g of PO4 removed ≈ 0.34 ppm reduction)
• Binds interstitial phosphate in the sediment into a new insoluble compound rather than starving algae directly -- it is not an algaecide
• Can be dosed with a dosing pump at a 1:4 ratio with RO water
• Exact dosage depends on existing water phosphate level and ongoing phosphate sources in the system
• 250g container size

Why this matters: Because PKO binds phosphate directly into the sediment rather than acting as an algaecide, it addresses a root nutrient-export problem instead of just knocking back an algae bloom symptomatically -- useful for reef and freshwater systems running persistently high phosphate despite regular water changes and skimming.

Includes: One 250g container of PKO Phosphates KO powder.

Compatible with: Can be dosed manually or via a standard aquarium dosing pump mixed 1:4 with RO/DI water.
