Platinum Storm Clownfish

The Platinum Storm Clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris) is a captive-bred designer clownfish morph, selectively bred for a predominantly white-to-platinum body broken up by dark patches, with the fish's natural orange coloring greatly reduced. Like all captive-bred clowns, it's hardy, disease-resistant, and adapts easily to aquarium life.

• Adult size: Around 3-4 in.
• Minimum tank size: 20 gal.
• Diet: Omnivore - flake, pellets, and meaty foods.
• Temperament: Peaceful to semi-aggressive, typical of clownfish; can become territorial with age.
• Reef compatibility: Reef safe.

Designer clownfish morphs like this one are bred, not wild-caught or dyed - the platinum pattern is a genuine, stable color line that captive-bred clownfish pass down, which is why it looks the same from one specimen to the next.
