Reef Start Pro Bac 60ml

Fauna Marin Reef Start Pro Bac is a liquid bacterial starter culture that jumpstarts biological filtration in new reef aquariums and speeds recovery after a tank disruption.

• Billions of active starter bacteria per ml, carried on an inoculated B-29 substrate matrix
• Bacteria disperse and begin processing tank water immediately on contact
• Shake vigorously for about 10 seconds before dosing; overdosing will not harm livestock
• Contains water, bacterial cultures on B-29 matrix, and enzyme compounds
• 60 ml bottle; mild water turbidity after dosing clears within a few hours

New tanks and post-crash tanks share the same problem: no established bacterial colony to process waste, which is when ammonia and nitrite spikes happen. Reef Start Pro Bac's B-29 matrix keeps the bacteria active and ready to disperse the moment it hits the water, so it starts working immediately instead of needing to multiply from a tiny seed culture first.

Use for: new tank cycling, restoring biofilter function after water changes or tank cleanings, after adding new livestock, after medication treatments, or after filter media replacement.
