RODC 3500 Controllable Water Pump

The Reef Octopus RODC 3500 Controllable Water Pump is a general-purpose DC circulation pump for sumps, reactors, filters, and closed-loop systems — not a skimmer-specific pump. Five preset speeds via LED controller give you full control over flow rate, and DC operation runs cooler and more efficiently than a comparable AC pump.

• Best for: return pump duty, reactor feed, closed-loop circulation
• Controls: 5-speed LED controller, feed/service button (10-minute auto-resume), true 10-second slow-start ramp
• Design: waterproof 3-conductor union between pump and detachable controller, rotatable output volute for vertical or horizontal discharge

The variable speed control is the main advantage over a fixed-speed AC return pump — you can dial down flow to a reactor or dial up return flow after a water change without swapping pumps.
