SRO 6000ext Recirculating External Protein Skimmer

The Reef Octopus SRO 6000ext Recirculating External Protein Skimmer is rated from 500 to 700 gallons and mounts external to the sump, recirculating through the Bubble Blaster HY-5000s pump for extended contact time. Like the 5000ext, it requires a dedicated feed pump — max feed rate is 1,400 GPH, with 1,100-1,300 GPH suggested for typical setups.

Budget for the required feed pump when planning this install — it's not included and the skimmer won't perform correctly without one sized to spec.
