SRO XP8000E Recirculating External Protein Skimmer

The Reef Octopus SRO XP8000E Recirculating External Protein Skimmer takes the XP8000 platform outside the sump for maximum contact time, recirculating through the Bubble Blaster HY-10000 pinwheel pump. The full cone body reduces back pressure on the pump for stronger air/water draw, and an oversized air silencer keeps operation quiet despite the pump's size.

• Best for: large reef and mixed saltwater systems needing external, high-capacity recirculating skimming
• Setup: external, recirculating — requires a separate feed pump
• Pump: Bubble Blaster HY-10000 pinwheel pump
• Body: full cone body, bubble diffusing chamber with directional flow guide lid, waste drain, unit venting

As with other SRO ext models, this is a recirculating design and needs a dedicated feed pump — factor that into your plumbing plan before ordering.
