Water Blaster 16000 Water Pump

The Reef Octopus Water Blaster 16000 (HY-16000W) is the largest pump in the Water Blaster line, built for high-volume return and circulation duty on large display and sump systems.

• Max Flow: 4,100 GPH
• Max Head: 20 ft
• Power Consumption: 250 watts
• Connections: 1 1/4" inlet / 1 1/4" outlet
• Installation: submersed or external

A digital control board manages soft-start and RPM, and shuts the pump down automatically if it detects a fault — useful insurance on a pump moving this much water. Silicon nitride shafts and bearings resist the calcium buildup that eventually seizes ceramic-shaft pumps, which matters even more at this size where a rebuild is a bigger job than swapping a small pump. Backed by a 2-year warranty.

Note: this is not a pressure-rated pump — not intended to feed elevated Beckett/downdraft skimmers or second-floor plumbing runs.
