The Green Crown Saluwesi Leather Coral (Sarcophyton) is a hardy soft coral with a smooth, mushroom-like cap and a crown of gently waving green polyps. Undemanding and forgiving, it’s an ideal beginner centerpiece that adds soft, natural motion and an earthy anchor to any aquascape.

• Difficulty: Excellent for beginners — one of the hardiest corals you can keep.
• Lighting: Low to moderate; the green crown shows well under a blue-heavy spectrum.
• Flow: Moderate and random, which keeps the cap clean and the polyps extended.
• Placement: Mid rockwork with space from stony corals — it can grow large.
• Feeding: Primarily photosynthetic — feeding is optional and not needed for health.
• Parameters: 76–78°F, salinity 1.025, Alk 8–11 dKH; run carbon, as leathers periodically shed and compete chemically.
